James E. Beach, LUTCF
Jim Beach grew up in Harrisonburg, Va. After completing high school, he was drafted into the United States Army. During his Army career, he served in Korea and the last four years in The Presidential Honor Guard in The Salute Gun Platoon at Ft. Myer based out of Arlington, Va.
While serving in Korea, Jim received the Army Accommodation Medal in a lifesaving rescue. He also received an Oak Leaf Cluster as a second award to the Accommodation Medal for distinguished service while serving as a Sergeant in the Salute Gun Platoon; firing salutes for The President, Dignitaries from other countries and funerals for those with a military rank of General.
After six years of service in the Army, Jim returned to his native Harrisonburg, Va. with his wife and son and worked at E.I. DuPont while going to school to complete his Associates Degree with honors from Blue Ridge Community College. Shortly after receiving his degree, Jim was recruited and hired by Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Company as an Agent. Striving to increase his knowledge and help clientele, Jim achieved the LUTCF designation after completing a year of studies in Client Needs, Business Insurance and Estate Planning. Jim was promoted to Agency Manager and relocated to Manassas, Va. where he became Manager for Agencies in Manassas, Warrenton and Leesburg while completing the Agency Managers Training Course. His agency always performed in the top ten for the state and he was named "Agency Manager of the Year" in his district and the following year for the state.
After a successful career with VA Farm Bureau, Jim opened his own Independent Agency in 1996, Beach & Associates Financial Services, LLC, with the focus on the insurance needs of families and small businesses. He continues his education process with courses in financial planning and the Senior Markets while holding insurance licenses in Personal Lines, Commercial Property & Casualty, Life & Health and also a Property & Casualty Consultant. In addition, Jim is an Investment Advisor Representative with Interactive Financial Advisors.
Jim currently resides in Manassas with his wife Debbie. They have three adult children; James II, a contractor in Manassas; Heather a nurse in Richmond, Va.; and Kevin a surveyor in Manassas. They are also blessed with seven grandchildren. In his spare time, Jim is an avid golfer, enjoys riding his Harley, bicycling, kayaking, watching grandchildren and gardening.
Jim dedicates himself to community service and has served for 24 years in the Manassas Bull Run Rotary Club as a Board Member and Past President where he has achieved 23 years of perfect attendance. He is also a member of The Selective Service Board. Jim is a past member of the Board for Historic Manassas, Manassas Airport Commission and a former Ruritan Member in Harrisonburg and Nokesville, Va.
